Harry, you came!  I was beginning to wonder if you'd forgotten.

Certain people in this school seem to think that if they keep smirking and giggling behind their hands during an important Herbology lesson that no one will notice them. Or that they're not being disruptive. Those same certain people need to just stay in their room all day if they can't keep their hands to themselves for two bloody seconds.

I'm all for being affectionate with our loved ones, but honestly boys - show a little decorum.

8:28 pm - Boys. Such infants.
Harry James Potter, I never thought I'd see the day I would compare your temper to Ron's, but apparently I misjudged your grasp on self-control. What were you thinking?! One minute you, Draco and I are walking towards the Great Hall for lunch discussing a possible mediwitch for Draco to make an appointment with, and the next I see you tussling with Michael Corner on the floor! What on earth provoked you?

All I can say is that you're lucky Draco wasn't pulled into the scuffle as well. If Crabbe and Goyle hadn't been holding onto him after you pushed him out of the way before you threw your first punch, he very well would have been - and then where would you be? The hospital wing, that's where. No doubt sulking and whinging and feeling guilty. Honestly Harry, you can't just do that. That localized brawl outside the Great Hall was entirely of your making. No less than ten students have detentions this week because you felt the need to be uber-male for Merlin knows why.

Be grateful that Draco pointed the finger at Corner when Snape came along, otherwise I'm sure you'd have a lot worse than just a detention to deal with. And don't think I didn't see that smirk on your face before turning on Blaise Zabini and breaking his nose. He was just standing there, Harry. And while I understand the two of you have had problems in the past, there was really no excuse for that. I doubt he's going to let that one slide. He'll tell Snape for sure!

Well, I hope your lip is alright. You had an impressive bruise on your jaw taking shape as well. If Madam Pomfrey refuses to heal them, as she is prone to do to in cases such as these, perhaps I can help ease the tenderness a bit. However, maybe a split lip will teach you a lesson.

Draco, I think we need to have a little chat about the pouting, bespectacled boy who is snoring on my chaise.Collapse )

8:05 pm - It's good to be back.
I wasn't sure if I'd ever want to leave the South Bank this summer, but I have to admit that I'm really quite pleased to be back here at Hogwarts. This will be an incredibly important year for you two especially, and I admit I'm a little more than fascinated to see how things progress with Draco's pregnancy. This is something I've read about extensively since the news broke, but it's another thing altogether to actually witness an event of such magnitude.

Honestly, a male wizard having a baby. I hope that all of you realise the significance of what you're privy to.

Term thus far has proven to be challenging, particularly Potions - but that is to be expected from a Professor of Snape's calibre. Unlike some Professors who shall remain nameless, Professor Snape doesn't dawdle around with silly reviews at the start of a new term. Anyone who had done their summer reading wouldn't need reviews anyway.

Draco, will I see you on Prefect duty this evening? As Head Girl, I'd be more than willing to fill in for you if you are not feeling up to par. Just let me know and I will owl Professor McGonagall to notify her of the change. It's very important that you're getting enough rest right now - and judging by the shadows under your eyes at breakfast this morning, I take it you aren't. Somehow I think I know where the blame lies. Honestly, Harry.

It looks as if Malfoy's gotten himself into more trouble again. Honestly, that boy is a magnet for mischief, and not of the good sort, either. Harry claims to agree, but I've seen him watching the prat with something close to... something in his eyes. I can't quite put my finger on it, but this is only temporary--I imagine I'll just have to work harder at figuring the enigma that is Harry.

And I saw Ron with Pansy. Again. I... I think I'm going to be ill.
